Yumnam Nandan is an entrepreneur and the founder of INE Exotic Foods Private Limited. His entrepreneurial work focuses on developing clean-label indigenous food products, establishing sustainable value chains for India's Northeast agricultural produce, and integrating innovative technology to bring high-quality products to the market.
He is also a first-generation research scholar in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati, where his academic research focuses on membrane processing for food applications. His research background strengthens the scientific and technical understanding behind food systems.
Former Director of the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, and Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati. With more than 30 years of expertise in food engineering, emerging processing technologies, and industrial-scale process development, he provides scientific mentorship, and R&D guidance.
Assistant Professor at the College of Food Technology under the Central Agricultural University (CAU). He completed his Ph.D. from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, specializing in food science, product stability, and advanced processing methods. He supports the company with technical validation, process refinement, food safety evaluation, and scale-up planning for food product development.
